BASKETBALL Training

TFE is proud to work with former collegiate basketball player Joe Posey to provide basketball training to kids of all ages from elementary school through high school. Joe’s 3PBasketball programs put a heavy focus on skill development, covering everything from shooting and dribbling to defensive footwork. Training sessions are available for individuals, groups, and teams. Joe works hard to develop young men and women into the best basketball players they can be! The training services provided at TFE are built for athletes of all experience levels. We also offer week-long summer camps every year.

Joe Posey

Joe Posey played Division-1 basketball at James Madison University in Virginia. After college, Joe played professionally overseas and spent time with the Portland Trail Blazers before deciding to start his own coaching and training service. Joe is very competitive and strives to better himself and those around him every single day while making the game of basketball great. Joe has a great support team around him that includes his players, families of those players, and his wife and four kids. He enjoys meeting new players and learning how he can make them better!

The Importance of Basketball Skill Training

No matter the age, if young athletes are in love with the game of basketball and want to take their skills to the next level, skills training is essential. In middle and high school team practices, the practice schedule is usually structured around making the team function better as a whole, and coaches simply don’t have the time to dedicate individual attention and skills training toward their players. This is why the most ambitious athletes seek training outside of their normal school or club team practices. When scheduling basketball training sessions with TFE, you can ensure that you are working with an experienced basketball player and receiving instruction from someone who has had a successful career in the sport.

Individual Training

One-on-one training sessions are great for athletes looking to receive more individualized training specific to their playing style. If there is a specific focus area that an athlete wants to focus on improving, our trainers have an arsenal of drills that can be used to target that specific area. These can include finishing around the rim, pick-and-roll scenarios, shooting off of screens, and defensive reads. Give us a call to inquire about availability and pricing.

Group Training

Group training is offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday. We keep our group sizes small so that trainers can ensure that all athletes are practicing proper technique and continually improving throughout training sessions. Our group training sessions are affordable and a great way to put a lot of hard work in while meeting and competing with other basketball players.

We also offer full team training that is available upon request. If you want to reserve a time for two or more of your team members to receive professional skills training, contact TFE and we will find a gym and trainer time that works best for you.

Summer Camps

We offer week-long basketball summer camps available to elementary school aged through high school aged kids at both our One Loudoun and South Riding locations. We offer different dates from June through August so that your kids can find one that best fits their summer schedule. The camp sessions run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and will feature skill development, hand eye coordination,game scenario understanding and concepts, and lots of hard work! Campers should bring their own lunch and snack, and are encouraged to bring their own basketball. If you don’t have a basketball, we can provide one.
